Check out this simple recipe for a sweet snack using our delicious raw honey! This recipe was contributed by and is a favorite of one of our Bee Great Marketplace employees. These no bake energy balls are easy to make, incorporate ingredients that many already have in their pantry, and are perfect to grab on the go!
No Bake Energy Balls
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
- 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup craisins or raisins
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Directions: In a medium size bowl, mix all ingredients together. Chill in the refrigerator for a half hour. Roll mixture into balls. Store in an air tight container in refrigerator. Enjoy!
That's it! Easy peasy! As an alternative to rolling the mixture into balls you can press the mixture into a parchment-covered baking dish and then cut it into energy bars instead. If you don't like chocolate or just want to try something a little different, you can substitute other ingredients in place of the mini chocolate chips and/or the craisins or raisins. Some additional ingredient suggestions include shredded coconut, chia seeds, chopped almonds, pecans, or walnuts, and white chocolate chips.
