Apivar 2.0 Varroa Mite Treatment – 1 Strip NO SHIPPING

Apivar 2.0 is an easy-to-use treatment for controlling Varroa mites in honey bee colonies. Each package contains 1 treatment strip.

How Many Strips Do I Need?

Use 1 strip for every 5 frames of bees.

• Up to 5 frames of bees: 1 strip
• 6–10 frames of bees: 2 strips
• Typical single 10-frame deep colony: 2 strips
• Typical double-deep colony: 4 strips

4 strips is enough to treat one double-deep colony or two single-deep colonies, depending on colony population.

How to Use

Place Apivar 2.0 strips in the brood area or bee cluster where bees can freely contact both sides of the strips. Keep at least two frames between treatment strips.

Treatment period:

• Leave strips in the hive for at least 42 days (6 weeks).
• When brood is present, leave strips in place for 70 days (10 weeks).
• Remove all strips after treatment is complete.

Important: Remove Honey Supers

Do not use Apivar 2.0 while honey supers are on the hive.

Remove honey supers before beginning treatment. All Apivar 2.0 strips must be removed before honey supers are returned to the hive.

There is a zero-day withholding period after the strips are removed, so honey supers may be returned immediately following completion of treatment.

• No temperature restriction for treatment
• Intended for spring and/or fall Varroa mite control
• Do not use more than twice per year — no more than once in spring and once in fall
• Do not use another Varroa mite treatment at the same time
• Do not reuse treatment strips
• Monitor mite levels before and after treatment to evaluate effectiveness
• Feeding is permissible while treatment is in place if needed
